SIR - AS a regular visitor to Worcester and having been Worcester born and bred, couldn't wait to see this new super duper market place now it's finished.
I was in absolute shock at seeing it, just a big open space - half a million pounds - you have got to be joking. How can the Council justify spending that much on THAT.
Who is going to pay for this open space, all that is going to be is a parking space for the revellers in the evening, absolutely a waste of money.
To think this Council have ruined traders businesses for that and as I understand it, the market will only be open three days a week until Easter, those poor traders Worcester City Council you should hang your heads in shame.
How many visitors do you think are going to come to Worcester to visit a big open space.
A re-think is in order I believe, put those traders back where they belong this side of Christmas, t his is people's lives you are playing with.
As for the half a million pounds - scandalous - do your sums again.
