Sir- So the farce that is the Whittington island slip road continues! When will the council admit they have made a major mistake?
All the yellow paint and warning signs in the world will not change the fact that the design is wrong.
The slip road should have been continued down the bank then gradually merged into one. This would be far safer as the oncoming traffic from round the island has a far clearer view.
A case in point is the Malvern road island. The system works perfectly well there. I can't believe these so called expert's can expect this junction ever can be safe when one has to swivel one's neck through almost 180 degrees to see if the road is clear!
The sooner the council admit their mistake. The sooner something can be done to make it safe.
