Sir- I couldn’t agree more with Richard Farrell-Adams’ comments regarding what he has aptly described as the “mess we call Whittington Island”- (Worcester News 20th December).

Without a shadow of doubt he has probably summarised the contents of every article written about this subject, and reflected the thoughts of every driver who has used/will have to continue to use this farcical arrangement.

As he points out, the only realistic solution is to close this ill-fated slip road and carry-out suitable landscaping in its place. Then perhaps we can all turn left without the fear of a rear-end shunt, or a side-swipe.

The sooner we can all echo the chorus of “Goodbye Yellow Slip Road” the better.
