Sir - I read with interest your front page story in the Worcester News regarding Royal Mail parcel deliveries.

My girlfriend and I live in a first floor apartment in St. John's and often we receive missed delivery cards from the postman even when one or both of us have been at home.

This happened again yesterday. We had watched the postman through our bedroom window delivering letters and cards, and later found he had left us a missed delivery card for a parcel even though he had not rung the front door buzzer to see if we were at home.

Later I drove all the way up to Wainwright Road Blackpole to collect the parcel and had to wait in a very long queue only to be told that the parcel hadn't arrived back to be processed yet and I would have to go back today for it.

The gentleman next to me on the queue also said his wife had been at home when the missed delivery card was left and the postman hadn't rung the doorbell.

It would therefore seem that a number of postmen are doing this, and the case you reported in in today's paper would not seem to be an isolated incident. It is very frustrating!

Thank you for raising this matter in the Worcester News. I hope Royal Mail will take action to stop this from happening.
