SIR - I would like to re-iterate a letter sent in by Jane Hargraves of Stourport, Worcester News, Thursday, January 8, she's correct in everything she says about the Worcestershire Hunt.

Before I retired I went on patrol with a good friend of mine who is a river bailiff. His job was to check on poachers and trespassers around Smite near Droitwich.

The Worcestershire Hunt came thundering across the fields, with as many as 40 beagles, some worn out, some on their last legs.

I've also seen a fox torn limb from limb while half alive, it may have been a few years ago but this is no sport, more a war on nature and ruin our lovely countryside.

MR L PRESLREY Bransford.
