Sir, with the decline of grassroots football there must be a serious concern for the long term future of the sport.
If fewer players are participating on weekends, surely that has to have a detrimental effect at professional levels.
The talent will not be filtering through. Many clubs are struggling financially. A radical overall of the pyramid system may be the only way to survive.
