Sir - Well done to the Worcester News, for highlighting the glaring inconsistencies in David Cameron's argument for not participating in the debates he was desperate for in 2010.

It's a bit different when you have to defend and justify your policies in government, rather than making promises and sniping at an incumbent, isn't it Mr Cameron?

The part I find distasteful is where he is effectively hiding behind a party whose policies he has either dismissed, or actively worked against.

Then he goes on about vote percentage, which really only has a bearing under a proportional representation voting system. One that he opposes!

The Greens have one MP, and may retain that seat. But less than a 2 per cent swing there would remove that MP too.

In my opinion he is showing all the signs of being scared to debate his government's record, in an environment where, unlike PMQs, supporters stage managed questions aren't an option. And he devalues the role of Prime Minister as a result.

What does our Conservative MP Robin Walker think please? So we can judge him on this issue too. He seems very quiet on this... !
