Sir - Reading paperwork from the Campaign for an Independent Britain, Lord Stoddart of Swindon put a written question to Baroness Anelay of St. John's asking on what terms would the Govt. consider leaving the EU?
Lord Stoddart has called into question the PM's terms for renegotiating Britain's EU membership. Commenting on the Govt's response Lord Stoddart said: "It is quite clear that the bashful Baroness is avoiding giving a proper answer on withdrawal from the EU and is not going to confirm exactly what the PM meant when he said that nothing can be "ruled out" in negotiations with the EU.
"I am forced to conclude that the PM's words on this subject are misleading and without any substance.
"He obviously has no intention of withdrawing from the EU if his negotiations fail which disastrously illustrates his negotiating stance : as the saying goes, "Talk is cheap".
