Want to go back to the 1950s? Vote UKIP
Sir - Much as it grieves me, I simply have to recommend a vote for UKIP - to my old mate George Cowley (Letters, 12.3.'15), who wants a return to the 1950s, which is exactly where UKIP's attitudes and policies would take us.
Unfortunately, in the real practical world (i.e.,outside of the rarefied atmosphere of higher theoretical physics and UKIP imaginings), time moves relentlessly forwards, not backwards.
