SIR - I was surprised to read in the editorial of the Worcester News, Thursday, March 12 that it said that racehorses had been seen to be enjoying racing.

This was referring to the Cheltenham races where the poor horse Theatre Queen had died.

Strange that the article in the Worcester News the day before reported that Theatre Queen had initially refused to start the race!

This had happened last month as well when Theatre Queen didn't want to start the race.

Jockeys can refuse to race, horses cannot.
