Sir - The issue of overflowing litter bins that you highlighted recently has been a problem for some time now, especially over holiday periods and weekends.
It does Worcester no harm that the councillors have aspirations for various city accolades. However they need to get the fundamentals right first.
In addition to bins not being emptied regularly we still suffer some recycling bins left out on pavements all week, when there is room for them on the offending properties.
There has also been an increase in graffiti around the city and litter generally. When are the powers of enforcement going to be brought to bear?
