SIR, It was inevitable Mr Farage would be lambasted on telly, by the rest of the political establishment. This time UKIP was zapped for indicating aids treatment for foreigners is costing our NHS billions. The Worcester News last year published a letter from me suggesting that aids treatment for foreigners would cost our NHS as much as £3 trillion over the lifetime of these patients, plus "National Handbag" costs. Predictably the response from our local political elite was silence.

There has been little factual rebuttal of Mr Farage's observations. Doesn't that confirm Mr Farage was correct in saying aids treatment for foreigners is costing us a fortune? And what about the costs of treatment for tuberculosis foreign immigrants are afflicted by. I think at a time of savage "cuts" we are entitled to demand our government tells us exactly how much the NHS treatment of foreigners is costing our NHS, and our social security systems.

What worries me is that while the leaders of our political parties are publishing their humanitarianism on telly, those of us who have contributed to the NHS, for a lifetime, are dying prematurely, for want of drugs and care. I think that's utterly wrong.
