SIR - Reading your editorial column about the EU in the Worcester News I agree that not enough is being considered by staying in or out of it.

Watching the news there was an item of Tony Blair in Sedgefield saying that we cannot leave the EU because it would be disastrous to our country.

He has got it very wrong, because like a lot of other has been politicians he forgets that we still trade with our Commonwealth nations as well as countries such as Sweden, Norway, China and India, to name but a few, and we would still be trading with the EU.

If as I hope we leave the EU we would loose the shackles that at present the EU tells us what we can and cannot do, and in effect denies this country our right to be governed from parliament, and not by unelected bureaucrats in the EU. Tony Blair should stay out of our election and not interfere, because in the past he has let this country down in many ways, like the Iraq war, without first consulting the people of this country, we the electorate.
