Sir,
I assume that the current archaeological dig on the Cathedral roundabout is discovering part-buildings of historic and general interest?
If so, could some be left for viewing perhaps with the installation of a clear toughened glass floor that could even be illuminated beneath at night?
It seems a shame to cover anything of interest over again to be lost once more for many years.
