Sir - The instance of a 'disaster' doctor being sent in to A&E is really shocking.
What is also shocking is that it was ambulance bosses, not the management team under Harry Turner, who instigated this, so concerned were they.
The medical staff at Worcestershire Royal are working very very hard. That's obvious.
But it's the management's job to organise. To make sure staff levels are adequate. To manage the money. To properly control situations like this.
There are enough of them, for goodness sake. With job titles that sometimes need a written explanation. Doing what exactly?
They appear very good at shutting staff up when they highlight these problems. Very good, MrTurner, at barring paramedic ambulance crew if they broadcast these awful situations.
But managing...the jobs they are paid handsomely to do?
Absent.
The management are paid to manage.
And they are failing .
Enough of the silly photocalls with the local MPs. Sort the hospital out.
It's what the clinical staff deserve. What the patients deserve. And what you are paid to do.
Or get someone in who can.
