Sir - The other evening (not for the first time) I was driving (and I use the term loosely) down Sansome Walk to be confronted with the usual snarl-up caused by those who cannot read trying to go through the lights into Lowesmoor!
The reason? WCC have stated for the restrictions is "pollution levels"!
With all the snarled traffic just idling whilst we waited for drivers to either change lanes for City Walls or for the lights to eventually change - the levels of pollution would have exceeded acceptable limits.
Either WCC abandon this useless restriction or else they enforce by use of cameras (plus appropriate fine) As a driver I support abandonment - as a council tax payer I support the fines! But please, WCC do something instead of sitting on your hands as usual!
