Sir – I am surprised that the council got so excited after receiving £500,000 from the government [to investigate widening Carrington Bridge] – that is only what they spent on Cranham Drive and the Cornmarket improvements!
I am sure if they put together a good case to build the other bridge and complete the ring road to ease the congestion in Worcester they could have got a lot more.
As regards to the A44 from Junction 6 not being wide enough I believe that earlier this year there were plans to widen it!
Surely from all the correspondence in this paper the council knows what the public wants, but are just too stubborn to acknowledge the fact.
