Reader's Letter: Proud of our Olympic stars
Sir – how proud the people of great Britain must be to see our athletes doing so well at the Olympics. We are a relatively small country, and putting countries with far greater populations behind us.
How different to see sports stars of this nation wanting it so much and giving all, compared to some overpaid, overrated soccer stars, who seem to think all they have to do is turn up for success.
At least some of the monies from the national lottery have gone to a worthy cause to give people something to cheer about.
