SIR - I refer to the article in the NHS dentists waiting to fill thousands of spare spaces' (Worcester News, June 29).
The final sentence reads: "Anyone wishing to join a dental practice must call the dental helpline on 01905 760111 and not turn up in person."
Although perhaps not intended to be, this is misleading and may be interpreted that anyone wishing to join any dental practice in the area must call the dental helpline.
The majority of practices welcome direct contact from potential patients, and are not part of this arrangement.
In effect such a statement may result in reducing patient choice while selecting their new dentist, and discouraging a full assessment of the services available to them.
