SIR - In the Worcester News letters recently, Mr Bird accused Councillor Layland of helping to vote through cuts by the council, having abstained in the voting. I am sure Councillor Layland's experience tells him how to vote or when to abstain and, after reading Mr Weaver of the city finance department reporting a shortfall in the Labour Government's funding, obviously economies were necessary.
So, was it Councillor Layland or the Labour Government who was responsible for the economy cuts and the increase in council tax?
