Political infamy is now taking place

SIR – In my opinion the greatest act of political infamy ever perpetrated against the people is now under way. I suspect that the only reason Peter Mandleson is keeping Gordon Brown alive politically is so we are signed up to the Lisbon Treaty after the Irish vote in October.

Doesn’t it suit the Conservatives for Gordon Brown to sing the Lisbon Treaty? If he does, can’t the pro and anti Europe wings of the Conservative Party avoid a very public war? And can’t the promised Conservative Europe Referendum be abandoned on the grounds that it is too late?

Couldn’t the opposition bring our Labour government down overnight, by resigning enmass and forcing and election? And if they won’t force this rotten Labour government to go to the country, doesn’t that mean that by Christmas 2009 we could irrevocably be part of the European disaster? Couldn’t Tony Blair, by then, be president of the United States of Europe? Hasn’t he lied to us all? And isn’t he considered by some across the world to be a war criminal?

The foregoing is of course speculation, but if that does happen won’t that define anew the honour, decency and integrity of those who represent us?

N TAYLOR,

Worcester.

Spot on in every detail and word, and one day the people of this Nation will wake up and say "Wait a moment I didn't agree to all of this " But by then it'll be to late.

The "greatest act of political infamy" was the passing, virtually unopposed, of the Climate Change Bill by a group of corrupt & ignorant peasants called MPs who had no knowledge of the subject matter or care for the outcome: the destruction of British Industry and all its jobs which will go overseas to China and India.

For some time now I have been naming Peter Mandleson as the dangerous man at the behest of Europe. So how about linking the word conspiracy to infamy and then you are starting to get the big picture of our politicians and the ideals of Europe, and the immanent dangers to England.
