SIR – John Hinton, who has died aged 85, was a real supportive pal of mine (Page 4, June 27). I last met him pushing his bicycle along the High Street two years ago. He said: “George, I used to know lots of people in Worcester, now most citizens are total strangers”. He is right about death – the best is yet to come.
