What about the rest of them?

SIR – It is all right, George Cowley (Letters June 29), to say police pay should be trebled, but where is the money coming from?

Let’s just presume an officer’s pay is £30,000 a year, that would be an increase of £60,000, multiply that by the number of police. Why should the police be a special case, how about doctors and nurses?

JOHN NORWOOD,
Kidderminster.
