Please don’t stop writing in, George

SIR – In reply to L M R Presley’s letter, ‘How long do we have to put up with George Cowley’s nonsense?’ (January 23).

How dare he say that! L M R Presley is the one writing nonsense. George is a lovely old gentleman who has more brains in his little finger that the people saying he writes nonsense.

I look every time I open the paper to see if there is a letter from George.

I worry if, for a while, nothing is printed from him. He is a magic person for his age. He should have a fan club. I for one would join. Keep writing George, we love you.

True Maggie - but I know Cromwell and he's a true patriot!

His heart's in the right place - not like Brown and Mandelson, etc...and he is currently doing a lot more to save this nation, than many who CAN spell - but don't bother to speak up!
