SIR – I am writing on behalf of all the Marie Curie nurses in the area to appeal for your readers’ help to make a difference to families coping with cancer. We really need people to help at a charity collection for our Great Daffodil Appeal in the following locations:

• Morrison’s in Kidderminster, tomorrow and Saturday
• Tesco’s, Worcester Warndon, tomorrow and Saturday
• Tesco’s, Worcester Road, Evesham, Wednesday and Thursday, March 17 and 18
• Worcester, Evesham and Pershore street collections, Saturday, March 20.

All money raised will help Marie Curie Cancer Care provide free nursing care for people with cancer and other terminal illnesses in their own homes.

Marie Curie Cancer Care urgently needs to recruit 20,000 volunteer collectors nationally to help its Great Daffodil Appeal in 2010. The charity is asking for volunteer collectors to give an hour of their time during the Great Daffodil Appeal to help someone in their final hours.
