Planning process ought to be open

SIR – I have noted a number of times recently that Coun Prodger has referred to the Bloor money when talking about road improvements on the southern bypass, and now a short north route to Hallow via the Martley Road.

This money is specifically linked to a planning application for 4,000 houses by Bloor to be built at Broadheath. The planning process should be an open, transparent and considered process in which objections are properly considered and the process is free from prejudice or bias. In this case, how can it be when much of the Worcestershire County Council Transport strategy seems to be specifically linked to the £10 million offered by Bloor for road improvements around the locale of their proposed development? I also agree with the previous correspondent who noted the silence of our ward councillor Alwyn Davies on this issue. Where is our proper representation on these important issues?
