SIR – Cranham Drive Shops! Heads get shaken at the mention.
I read your report on the planning meeting about using a building for a pizza takeaway – with some absurd comments from the members of the planning committee eg: “Get the police to fine them for dropping litter”.
When do you see any louts fined for dropping litter?
The absurdity of this is that Warndon has serious problems with anti-social behaviour and unhealthy eating.
So, what do they do? Close the police station there and close the library and put in a junk food shop. Then there will be campaigns about healthy eating, PACT meetings and money poured into raising education standards. All from a distance!
The reality on Cranham Drive is a million miles away from the theory.
