SIR – My good friend Chris Cheeseman’s reply to my letter in the Worcester News (February 11) stretches credulity to breaking point and beyond.
To try to compare Richard Burt’s previous occupation as a consultant to a firm that specialised in making wills, during which, incidentally, he gave advice and assistance to many West Worcestershire residents, with what happened elsewhere in the financial sector is frankly laughable.
To conclude, may I remind him that what Richard was involved in, unlike what Harriett Baldwin and her banker colleagues did during her time in the financial sector, did not bring the banking system to the point of collapse and bring the economy crashing down around our ears.
