SIR - A short while ago you printed a letter from me about the Royal Naval Electrical Branch Association commemorating the 60th Anniversary of its formation.
It just goes to show how popular letters pages are in the local papers, because the response from the readers has been terrific. But responses are not just on the day the paper comes out, or even the next day, but days, even weeks later.
We are now looking for ex-Electrical Branch members from HM Ships Barrosa, Tyne, Bulwark, Centaur, Alamein, Ark Royal, Hardy, Tenby, Jutland, Plymouth, Mohawk, Arrow, Adamant, Dundas, Grafton and Kenya. We would also like to hear from people connected with shore establishments such as HMS Collingwood, HMS Dolphin, Rooke, Vernon and Orion.
May I invite any ex Royal Naval Electrical Branch member to send a couple of second class stamps (to help Association funds) with their request for details to Mike Crowe, Royal Naval Electrical Branch Association, 7 Heath Road, Lake, Sandown, Isle of Wight PO36 8PG.
MIKE CROWE,
Ex-REM.
