Factual reports can’t be denied

SIR – Regarding Jon Burgess’s letter (Worcester News, June 26), in which he called for evidence of cruelty to farm animals. Want proof, Jon?

Do a search on the Worcester News site under “cruelty to farm animals” and you will find all the proof you want of farm animals been treated abysmally in this area.

The factual reports you see cannot be argued or denied.

These are cases known about.

How many more will never be brought into the public domain?

The same logic could be applied to cruelty to children, but that does not make every parent a child abuser or indicate that the practice is widespread.

But if a parent abuses their child(ren) the child(ren) are taken away for their safety.

Animals on the other hand are usually dead or dying by the time someone does anything about it.

Farms are apart from prying eyes and where a school might spot child abuse not so for farm animal who are unseen.

And while abuseive parents do not get another chance when detected most farmers pay the fine when they are detected and carry on Farming'.
