What about the other schools?

SIR – It is good news our new government has agreed to spend £15.4 million revamping Tudor Grange Academy.

Robin Walker MP rightly commented (Worcester News, August 7) that this was “really good news for Worcester and the community and that the work would help raise educational attainment”.

However, the buildings at Christopher Whitehead Language College, St John’s and at many schools in Wyre Forest, Sandwell and numerous other places around the country are much older and in a far worse state of repair than Tudor Grange.

The Government has scrapped the previous Labour government’s plans to improve these schools. Many may wonder how the Government prioritises its spending and ask why the educational attainment of children at these other schools does not need raising until some unplanned date in the future.

Boo hoo hoo, what a shame, Paul Denham complaining about the money being spent on Tudor Grange.
.
Paul, your government was in power for over 15 years.. You said it, numerous schools are in a worse state of repair, than Tudor Grange how come they were not repaired whilst your Government was in power for over 15 years?.
.
When I was in Stanley Road School, in the 1940's, they used to come in and paint the entire school when we broke up for our summer holidays, and it was done every year.
.
So blame your Party, and not anyone else.

how come they did not spend money then?, schools do not deteriate in a short time.
.
So why dont you complain to the last government, as they allowed it to happen
