SIR – I have been a member of Norton Shooting Club for the past 20 years and have known Graham Lane for that amount of time.
He is a father figure to club members with a wealth of knowledge on shooting legislation and affairs.
His contribution to the club, with the help of other committee members, has been immense, making it one of, if not the best, shooting clubs in the country with an exemplary safety record.
He is a very amicable and friendly person, always ready to help and commands much respect from all club members, including myself. I think the word arsenal (Worcester News, September 7) was misconstrued; collection would be the appropriate word.
