SIR – In reply to Jon Burgess’s letter about animal rights activities (Worcester News, March 31).
Throughout history all campaigning for the liberties we enjoy today have involved different types of protest. The suffragettes used methods that were called violent and unacceptable by some. Nelson Mandela was classed as a terrorist.
All social change has been achieved by dissent.
