There must be a word for these politicians

SIR – I have been trying to think of a word to describe the tactic that politicians use when they don’t want to answer a question.

I’ve seen elected officials talk about something completely different, give the answers to questions they were not actually asked and even sit there saying nothing in the vain hope that if they wait here long enough this might go away.

I’m sure there is a word out there somewhere.
