SIR – Re Rosemary Nott’s letter saying the Americans would love a cathedral like ours (Worcester News, June 6).
If they are so keen to have it, why not take it down, brick by brick, and sell it to them as London sold London Bridge.
Once it was removed there would be a lovely large space to build another modern building for the university.
How splendid it would be to sit at the county cricket ground and see the reflection of the sun on another golden globe.
I wonder how many people complained when the cathedral was being built?
Some residents may have considered it a monstrosity, spoiling the view of the Malverns from that spot.
