SIR – There appears to be an ongoing debate about gay marriages and I come out strongly with the Church’s view that marriage is for a man and woman.

It is definitely not for a man and a man or a woman and a woman.

It destroys the whole sanctity of marriage.

Once you go down the road of same-sex marriage, where do you stop?

We could end up with three men being married. The whole idea of being married as we know it would be destroyed and marriage would have no meaning at all.
