People who shouldn’t be allowed to drive

SIR – No-one under 25 or over 65 should be allowed to drive a car. Young people drive far too fast, often under the influence of drugs and alcohol and kill people. Old people do not react quickly enough in emergencies.

Oh George, I think this is the first time I'm going to have to disagree with you. Still, we've had a good run...

I think we should also ban women of childbearing age as we are all aware of just how unstable their hormones make them. And lets make the roads safer by only letting wagons over 7.5 tonnes deliver at night or between 8pm and 7am,ie when all civilised people are safely at home.Of course we will need more night workers but everything has a price.
We could also make all city centres pedestrian only and have special lanes for buses, taxis and the terminally bone idle.
