Cuts have to be made in the right areas
12:20pm Tuesday 31st July 2012 in Read
SIR – According to the Government, we’ve got more cuts to come.
Yes, they can go ahead with more cuts but they’ve got to be in the right places.
For example, gas; they are making huge profits.
Take the six energy companies – if you add together the profits of the six it is massive. Totally unnecessary.
Then there’s the water company.
When I have a bath and pull the plug the water goes back to them.
They clean it up and resell it to someone else.
This happens over and over again so they can’t help but make profits.
Then there’s rented properties. The rents are far too high.
In fact, some of the rents the landlords charge are downright greedy.
Bus fares and train fares are far too high.
The Government should step in with massive cuts to all of the above because the money people have is being taken from them which means they have no money left to spend on other things to get the economy moving.
