A HEARING to confiscate assets from a drug dealer who was stopped in a car by police has been adjourned at Worcester Crown Court.

Kamil Haque was found to have 55.4 grams of heroin, worth £3,570, in a bag which contained chef’s clothing.

On August 17 at Hereford Crown Court, 23-year-old Haque, of Drovers Way, Blackpole, Worcester, was jailed for two-and-a-half years after pleading guilty to possession of the drugs with intent to supply.

Prosecutor Paul Whitfield told Judge John Cavell there was no common ground between the Crown and defence over the amount that could be confiscated under a Proceeds of Crime Act procedure.

He said members of Haque’s family were likely to be called as witnesses at the next hearing which will be held in 2013.

Haque was arrested on March 27. He jumped bail and was arrested again on July 18.
