THESE two lucky Worcester News competition winners have bagged themselves a new Kindle Fire.

Readers Carole Eden, aged 55, of Weston Hill, Broadwas, and Richard Dobson, 63, of Mortlake Avenue, Worcester, were presented with the newly launched tablet last week by our deputy editor John Wilson.

Now they can use their new devices to read the electronic version of the Worcester News, which is now available on the latest version of the popular Kindle e-reader.

Our e-edition reproduces the entire content of the daily paper and makes it available online or on your mobile device in a page-turning format.

It can already be accessed via PCs, laptops, iPads, iPhones and most other mobile phones.

Editor Peter John said: “Our strategy is to provide people with their news service in the way that suits them – whether in paper or on a computer, tablet or mobile phone.

“It’s apt that these new Kindle Fires were being presented now because we have just smashed our website traffic figures.

In November just shy of a quarter of a million unique users logged on to our website. So we and the winners are both celebrating today.”

Why are their ages deemed to be relevant?
