Neighbour paid tribute to the victim and said he was a "loveable rogue".

That means he was a crook.......popular with other crooks!!

What a dreadful end to a life. Our thoughts should be with his family in their grief for no matter who or what he was no-one should die like this, lovable rogue or otherwise

I knew what had happened and who was involved before 9pm last night from Facebook - and I don't even know the guy.

Within minutes of the event, facebook was alive with comments of the person, his death, the state he was in before the attack etc.I am pretty sure someone on there was also aware of the perpertrator of the crime. What neighbours? It says he was of no fixed abode?
I am afraid this is the price we pay for social media!- crimes are reported far quicker than the police announcement. I have actually witnessed a very serious incident myself this morning which the press in Kidderminster are unable to publish because the powers involved will not release any information. It is not on here either and it is an incident between Worcester and Kidderminster so could be in either/both publications.
