X Factor singer wows the crowds at Tramps
4:09pm Thursday 3rd January 2013 in News
X FACTOR winner James Arthur was just as wowed by the crowd as they were by him when he performed at a Worcester nightclub.
The singer, who beat Jahmene Douglas to be crowned king of the ITV show, performed to a sell- out crowd at Tramps.
During his live performance he treated the audience to his renditions of Sexy and I Know It by LMFAO, Call My Name by Cheryl Cole and his recent number one single Impossible.
Dean Hill, Tramps director, said: “James was energetic and vibrant on and off stage and deserved to be crowned the X Factor winner for 2012. He was stunned by the crowd and what Tramps had to offer and happily participated in photo opportunities with fans after the event. He was a pleasure to have at the venue.
“We knew by the advanced tickets sales that it was going to be popular having James perform, but the night and his set exceeded our expectations.”After his performance, the singer spent time with Tramps VIP meet and greet guests and took the time to talk to everyone, as well as dedicating plenty of time to pose for photographs with people including the team from Acorns Children’s Hospice who had been invited to join in a fund-raising evening at the club.
As previously reported in your Worcester News, all proceeds from the Impossible single are being donated to Together for Short Lives – a national charity which supports 50 children’s hospices and other organisations in children’s palliative care across the UK, including Acorns.
Together for Short Lives will receive at least £1 for each CD sold and 20p for each download.
The singer ended 2012 on a high after his single, which first topped the charts on its release following his win on the show, was back at number one on Sunday.
Impossible lost out on being Christmas number one to the Hillsborough disaster tribute single.
