BEYONCE may have wowed at the American Super Bowl but a group of dance students managed to do the same at Worcester Warriors with a medley of the singers’ biggest hits.

Much like the diva herself, the Worcester College of Technology performing arts students had been tirelessly rehearsing for their half time show at the Warriors’ match against Saracens on Saturday.

Starting out with Psy’s Gangnam Style to get the crowd on their feet, the dancers then performed moves to Chris Brown’s Turn Up The Music before dancing along to the Beyonce medley.

Sarah Jane Preedy, head of dance at WCT, said she was really impressed with the dancers, who included 13 HNC students, five first years and dancers from Bromsgrove School of Dance.

“It went really really, well, they had such great applause from the crowds afterwards and they were just buzzing.

“It looks amazing on their CV to say they had performed in front of such a huge crowd and it helps boost their confidence levels as well as inspire them.

“I am so proud of the effort they have shown rehearsing every morning before college since December, it has been quite strict but will get them used to the industry.”

A crowd of 6,552 people watched the home team beaten by Saracens 12 to 22 at Sixways.
