A man has appeared in court charged with committing a burglary near Powick.
Ben Keeley, aged 26 of Pinkett Street, Worcester, was charged this morning with burglary and appeared at Worcester Magistrates’ Court today.
He was remanded into custody to appear at the same court on Tuesday, February 19.
At 2.30am yesterday, West Mercia Police received a call from a property in Bastonford, a hamlet off the A449 between Powick and Newland, because they believed someone was breaking in.
The noise from someone smashing a window woke the homeowners and they disturbed the offender, who ran off.
A man was arrested at 3am in the local area.
