ZUMBA, modelling and popcorn were just some of the inspirations behind exciting dance performances by school and college students.

The creativity of children and teenagers from primary schools, high schools and colleges across the county came together for a unique show at Bromsgrove's Artrix.

Sixteen schools and colleges - including ten from Worcester - performed during Worcestershire Dancing show which featured a diverse and dynamic programme choreographed by the schools.

Included in the show were students from Christopher Whitehead Language College who created a piece of dance using a popcorn recipe as stimulus with ideas relating to kernels, popping and the final combination of sauce and the popcorn.

Year one teacher Louise Webber, who choreographed the piece for a class from Northwick Manor Primary School, took inspiration from her Zumba teacher while Stanley Road Primary School's cyan class's love of The Rolling Stones formed the the basis for their dance to Paint It Black.

An abridged version of the West Midlands Boys Dance Alliance's Our Brave Sons was performed by pupils from Bishop Perowne CofE College's Wireboyz.
