THE M&S Café in Worcester raised £1,513 for Macmillan Cancer Support after a successful day of fundraising for the charity’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning event on Friday (September 26).

The day saw café employees celebrate all things coffee and cake as baristas took part in a best barista bake off, while all other staff members were challenged with the task of baking a giant version of their favourite snack.

Throughout September, the store also held a competition for children to paint a picture of someone they love. Children aged 11 and under got creative and showcased their artistic skills to raise awareness for Macmillan.

Sam Fitch, Coffee Shop Section Manager, at M&S Worcester, said: "We would like to say a big thank you to all of our customers who came out to support the coffee morning on Friday, as well as those who have supported the charity through their purchases in our Food Hall and Café throughout the month.

"Lots of tea has been drunk, cake eaten and lots of laughs had. The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning raises money for a truly worthwhile cause, and it has been great fun to once again be a part of it."
