POLICE are appealing for witnesses who may have seen two cars that were involved in a collision on Friday night and a van also on the scene at the time.
The crash, which took place on the B4090 near Droitwich on Friday night shortly around 6.50pm, left the driver of one car with possible life threatening injuries and four other people in the second car with minor injuries.
Three people had to be cut free following the accident by the fire service.
It happened when a bronze coloured Vauxhall Astra hatchback, heading towards Inkberrow, overtook a white Citroen Berlingo panel van and collided with a white BMW hatchback.
Prior to the crash the Vauxhall Astra had been overtaken by the Citroen van, which then slowed down as it is believed to have entered a restricted speed zone.
The driver of the Vauxhall Astra, a 51-year-old man from Droitwich, suffered severe injuries, which could be life threatening. He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
The driver of the BMW, a 54-year-old man from Inkberrow, suffered minor injuries, as did his three passengers. They all attended hospital.
The road was closed at the Himbleton junction.
