A BARN dance will be held in Worcester to support the victims of conflicts in Gaza, Syria, Iraq and South Sudan.

The event, which will take place at The Angel Centre, The Butts, on Saturday, November 15, from 7.30pm to 11pm, has been organised by the Worcester Oxfam Campaigns Group.

Money raised from the evening will be donated to Oxfam's work in the war-torn countries.

David Goodman, who has helped plan the fundraiser, said: "This is a chance to hear and dance to some wonderful music, with some good company.

"During the evening we will update people on how Oxfam is supporting people caught up in conflicts around the world."

The Worcester Oxfam Campaigns Group holds a music concert every year to raise money for the international charity and this year it chose to put on a barn dance.

Tickets to the event cost £8 for adults and £4 for under-16s, including a ploughman's lunch, and can be purchased on the door or in advance from Anthony Wood on 01905 351025.
