LITTER transformed into glittering decorations by crafty pupils has seen a school win an award.
Year four pupils at Burlish Park Primary School in Stourport-on-Severn have recently been investigating some of the issues regarding litter in the area.
They decided to enter the Wyre Forest District Council's Litter to Glitter competition to see if they could turn everyday junk into Christmas decorations.
The youngsters were absolutely delighted to find out they had won first prize as the best overall school in the Wyre Forest.
Lynda Williams, eco-school co-ordinator, said: "Our pupils and parents are so inspirational and creative, the decorations that they entered were truly amazing.
There were folded book creations, bottle top snowmen, jigsaw stars and wreaths, a rolled up newspaper star, a sleigh out of an old milk bottle, snow globes from coca cola bottles and even a reindeer made from tumble drier fluff."
Pupil Ellie Dusconi also won a second individual prize in the competition.
