RUTH Bottomley, chairman, welcomed members to the meeting on Tuesday, June 10, in the village hall. Guest speaker was Glenice Yates and the arrangements which she presented were most beautifully assembled using choice flowers and foliage, sharing her considerable knowledge spiced with tales from her busy professional and family life. All this combined to make a specially entertaining and pleasurable evening.

The flower of the month was the magnificent peony brought by Joan Eccleston, who also won the members’ competition with her arrangement of roses and glass.

This month we meet tonight, at 7pm in Ruth’s garden at Windmill Barn, Buntsford Hill, Stoke Heath.

There will be refreshments and a sales table.

The August 12 meeting will be back in Wychbold village hall at 7.30pm for a silent auction. Don’t worry, all will be made clear on the night. There will also be a demonstration by members.
